General Education Core Courses

Requirements

The general education Core course requirement applies to all Associate and Bachelor students who have not previously met general education requirements in a Florida College System or State University System institution, pursuant to Florida Statute s.1007.25(3) and SBE Rule 6A.14.0303. 

Under the requirement, students must successfully complete at least one core course from each of the five general education subject areas: Communications, Mathematics, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences, with a grade of “C” or higher.

Below are the designated Core courses at Eastern Florida. Courses with an honors option or general education courses with a Core course prerequisite will also satisfy the requirement, provided they are completed with a grade of “C” or higher.
