30-Hour Advising Requirement

Students enrolled in a Florida College System Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree program are required to identify their intended bachelor’s degree program and the college or university they plan to attend prior to earning 30 credit hours.

Once a student has identified the intended program and institution, the college will provide information regarding applicable common prerequisite coursework.

The purpose of the 30-hour advising requirement is to support effective academic planning, improve articulation between institutions, and minimize the accumulation of excess credit hours.
