EFSC Campus Bookstores

The EFSC Bookstore is your one-stop shop for new, used, rental, and electronic textbooks, as well as college supplies, clothing, graduation regalia, and gifts.

Important Location Details and Course Material Information

EFSC Bookstores are open on the Cocoa, Melbourne and Palm Bay Campuses. Additional walk-in hours are offered at the beginning and end of the term to facilitate textbook pick-up and rental returns. 

There is no bookstore on the Titusville Campus. If you need books for a Titusville Campus course, those materials are carried at the Cocoa store and also online.

Titan First Day Ready

EFSC uses a course material delivery model called Titan First Day Ready, in partnership with the EFSC Bookstores powered by Barnes & Noble College. This program ensures students receive required course materials before the first day of class.

Key features include:

  • Physical books are provided on a rental basis, packaged for convenient pickup at any campus bookstore or shipped to the student’s home.

  • Digital materials are delivered directly through the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Materials are funded through a per credit hour charge listed in the fee schedule for all for credit courses.

  • The program is estimated to save students 35–50% each term compared to purchasing materials individually.

  • Enrollment is automatic for eligible courses, with an opt‑out period each term as defined on the Titan First Day Ready web page.

Not included in Titan First Day Ready:

  • Career and Technical Certificate (CTC) / clock‑hour workforce programs

  • Continuing education

  • Non‑credit programs

Opting Out and Ordering materials Independently

  • Students who opt out of Titan First Day Ready may purchase textbooks and materials online at the same prices offered in‑store. Orders typically process within two days.

    To order:

  • Have your course schedule available.

  • Use the Find Course Materials page in the online store.

  • Select the campus where the course is taught, or Palm Bay for Eastern Florida Online classes.

  • Choose the “OPT OUT” term from the dropdown menu.

  • Order pickup is available at the Cocoa, Melbourne, and Palm Bay Bookstores based on course location. All online‑course materials are available only at the Palm Bay Campus. Students may also choose UPS shipping to their home.

    A confirmation email or valid photo ID is required for pickup.

Cash for Books

Campus bookstores buy back used books year‑round, with the best prices offered during finals week.

Buyback guidelines:

  • Up to 50% of the selling price is paid if the book is assigned for the next term and the store is not overstocked.

  • If not assigned or overstocked, pricing is based on national demand.

  • Study guides and workbooks must be like new, with no writing.

  • All books must be in good condition.

  • One‑time‑use materials, out‑of‑print books, and old editions generally have no buyback value.

  • A current student ID is required for all buyback transactions.

Textbook Refund Policy 

A full refund will be issued in the original form of payment if:

  • Textbooks are returned during the first week of classes with the original receipt.

  • With proof of a schedule change and the original receipt, refunds are available for the first 30 days of classes.

Additional conditions:

  • No refunds on unwrapped loose‑leaf books or activated eBooks.

  • Textbooks must be in original condition.

  • No refunds or exchanges without the original receipt.

General Reading Books, Software, Audio, Video and Small Electronics Refund Policy

  • A full refund is available in your original form of payment if merchandise is unopened, unused, and returned within 14 days of purchase with original receipt.
  • Software download product sales are final and non-refundable.

All Other Merchandise Refund Policy

  • A full refund is available in the original form of payment if merchandise is returned in unworn/unused, in original condition, with tags and labels, and returned within 90 days with the original receipt.
  • All sales are final on graduation products, gift cards, prepaid cards, newspapers, and magazines.
Fair Pricing Policy

Barnes and Noble College Booksellers complies with the local weights and measures regulations. If the price on the receipt is above the advertised or posted price, please alert a bookseller and they will gladly refund the difference.
