Computer Information Technology (A.S.)

This program is designed to prepare students for careers in the business application of computers. Students choose one of the three specializations: Help Desk, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), or Database Administrator. The core courses provide training in the basic concepts, which underlie computing technology, computer programming, database techniques, and analysis and design and common user applications. Technical electives provide students with the opportunity to further their knowledge in the specific area of choice.

The Computer Information Technology A.S. degree program includes the following College Credit Certificates:

• Help Desk Support Technician CCC

and this related certificate: Oracle Certified Database Administrator CCC

Specializations: As stated above, this degree has three specializations. Student must select one specialization to follow, and will receive the Computer Information Technology A.S. degree upon graduation. While students may take courses from more than one specialization, the specific degree will be awarded only once.
