AFR 1100  Introduction to Aerospace

This course covers aerospace history, foundational science, and lessons learned from over 70 years of space systems. Describe and introduce current industry standard practices, safety protocols and workplace ethical practices. Survey of physical and aspects of the natural environment affecting space systems and operations. Topics include the metric system, motion, forces, energy, waves, properties of matter, atomic structure, and basic nuclear and chemical reactions. Although there is a math component to the course, the emphasis will be on current industry practices, scientific concepts and their application.
